I was working in the accounting department of a small business as the bookkeeper. I was so happy at first that I didn’t even think about the fact that I didn’t know anything about bookkeeping.

I went to the local library to see if I could find information about what I was going to do for this new job. The library had some good books but it was still unclear to me. Then I decided to go the bookstore and see what they had there on the subject. That is when I saw the QuickBooks for Dummies book. My job required that I use QuickBooks and I realized that I only had to learn QuickBooks to be able to do that job. It actually took over 4 weeks of on the job training while reading at night to be able to master the job but now I have a new skill.
