Intuit has 4 versions of QuickBooks for business owners. You can get the QuickBooks Online Free version which will allow you to manage your finances online for free. There are limited abilities with the free version, you might need the QuickBooks Simple Start instead. With the QuickBooks Simple Start you can download also for free but you are limited to 20 customers. If you have more then 20 customers then you can upgrade this version for $99.
Then there is the QuickBooks Pro which is the most popular version. With this version you will be ready at tax time and the software will show you where you are making money. If your business is too big for that version then you will need the QuickBooks Premier. With this one you can create industry specific reports and generate sales forecasts and business plans. Lastly there is the QuickBooks Enterprise Solution which allows up to 30 uses. Which ever version you choose you might need to get a QuickBooks Pro Advisor to help you learn how to use it.
