When upgrading from QuickBooks Pro 2008 to QuickBooks Pro 2009 there is the possibility of lack of hard drive space. This also can happen when backing up QuickBooks. The amount of space you will need on your hard drive if you already have QuickBooks 2008 and want to upgrade to QuickBooks 2009 is as follows:
QuickBooks 2008 Company File – 11 MB and 35 MB
QuickBooks 2009 Company File – 11 MB and 36 MB
QuickBooks 2008 Backup File – 6.5 MB and 28.2 MB
QuickBooks 2009 Backup File – 8.5 MB and 32.3 MB
